Indeed, but last I heard on Saturday she was still scheduled for all week after the gala, so who knows.

We are waiting on wether 7903 makes the party. I believe we will make a decision on Tuesday and the timetable with loco allocations will be published soon after.

Just a little reminder that the Narrow gauge at Toddington is also running the three days of the gala from 11:00 - 16:00.
Rostered engines are Hunslett "Chakas Kraal No. 6" and Polish LAT class "Tourska", not Swindon built I'll grant you :)

Oh and it's free to ride on once you have your GWSR ticket for the gala.

Is there any news on the likely engine for tomorrow?

    Thanks!

Great, looking forward to these as much as the big stuff! Will the 16mm line be running too?

The timetable with loco allocations is now available and includes 7903.
Anyone know which way the locos are facing please?

All GWR locos facing Cheltenham, all others facing Toddington.

Good to see 7903 can make the party, she looked great yesterday with a bit of double-heading with Erlestoke manor:

All locos and tenders had arrived by yesterday, so we're already doing better than last year!

It should be, all three days, with the usual caveats of course.

    Edit:
I should probably mention that the Narrow Gauge is 'hidden' behind the big marquee, on the far side of the car park at Toddington for anyone who does not know. Seems the GWSR missed us off of their working timetable ... grrrr.

Can anybody say which loco works forward from Winchcombe on the 13.00 from Cheltenham? The timetable shows a loco change with loco A continuing to Toddington later, but it doesn't say which loco takes over.

Ticket came in the post yesterday, looking forward to the weekend :) I'd like to get a brakevan ride in this year, how fast do the tickets normally go for that? Do I need to go and get myself one as soon as I arrive at Toddington?

Well done to the guys working on 7903 for making the gala. I stopped by Toddington less than two weeks ago and she was still looking a bit unfinished - guess the painting just needed to be done.

Would like to attend this, but unfortunately pay day is wrong side of bank holiday to be able to travel. Are platform tickets available as website says access to ticket holders only? Alternatively can anyone recommend a nice spot for picnic and to watch trains go by? (we will have a 3 year old in tow also!)
