Probably more true than you think. Someone's already mentioned elsewhere that the owners of 47580 must be raking it in.

 

Just seen 60103 get shoved through Swindon. Literally not a peep from 60103, 47580 at full power.

Ever thought 60103 is taking along a 'friend' along to get the train back up to line speed pronto, every time it has to slow down due to trespass?.................... how late would the train now be if it didn't have some Lena Loveage going on?..................

So your theory is that WCRC are using the diesel so they have to pay the owners of 47580 for the privilege, ingenious....?

As the video didn't make the final cut, I thought I'd share it on here anyway, so you can see & hear the difficulties i'm having filming this loco at
the moment ! My video of 46115 will be posted tomorrow evening, and it's well worth the wait.

 

After just hearing about the 47 I really hope the we have a few class 8 locos back out on the mainline soon.

 

Interesting to note a greater exhaust from the Class 47 at the rear.

 

Maybe high enough to mean the diesel does all the real work?

 

The ground was close to bone dry over Chesire way and 46115 was near full throttle through Hargrave and there was nothing from the rear, so I'm not sure if it's a fire risk issue yet, as it's clear there was a different plan for Guardsman, in regards to assistance.
