No doubt there will be other reports, but as far as I'm aware it was failed on shed.

 

I am WSR line controller this afternoon. @dinmore7820 's report is accurate. Something to do with a water leak, I understand.

Gutted about Campaigner, so close yet so far, was always an outside shot the guys did a good job to get her that close, one day she will be back stronger then ever.
Lucky I can get 4g signal round the roebuck area and got the heads up would have been more gutted to just see the duff coming round the corner,

Was an alright day apart from the Shed being thrown out for two round trips at the expense of a heritage loco, then late in the day, trying to have an ecs move ment 832 coming in on a longer train then expected at crowcombe fouling the crossing, was told if you want the train go down to the bottom crossing then the 47 comes in pulls up short,fouling the bottom crossing was all sorted in the end though, I've got my fingers crossed for a better event in future and hope having them crossed does better for the event then what it did to 1010.

Its a shame this is one of the last times for a while we will See 832 and this sign in the same shot together, hope they look after her when she goes back.Its gonna leave a big hole in the fleet down there, more then when the 25 left.

The difficulty with the long train was that a passenger fell over on getting out of the train and had to be assisted, causing a 12 minute delay.

No one mentioned that,only going on what we was informed of , no need for a vindictive reply like that.I'm only reporting what I saw and heard, even taken the trouble to explain it to you,

But I'm sure you will take issue with that,

Its a shame that when I try to be positive and not focus on the small negatives one o which was solved in the end I get attacked.

832 came in right time the train fouled the crossing, crowcombe station staff were going to assist us across the bottom crossing due to this, we all moved down as the duff pulled in, which then stopped short blocking the bottom crossing, which point I made plans to sit wait to get the 14 down to lydeard, then we was informed by the driver of the 47 that he was going to move up the platform and the warship was going to also to allow people to cross on the normal crossing at no point was anyone falling out of a train mentioned,

 

It is hard to regard use of the word 'fiasco' as positive comment.

I hope that the experience drawn from approaching 40 years of volunteering will be of assistance in the WSR Operations Development role I have taken on.

QB is restocked, the fridges and freezers are full again and we will be ready to welcome hungry breakfast passengers on the 09.55 from BL in the morning.
