    Sad, but it's unusual for there not to be something to tweak between the test runs and first revenue earning trip. That's why it's wise to leave a gap.

    A light and loaded run from Tyseley to Stratford (20 miles each way?) and return doesn't seem much for a loco straight from overhaul. I thought there was a requirement for a minimum distance (1000 miles?) fault free running in period?

    Saw the train with diesel top and tail at Weaverthorpe on time.
    From the distance I was, about 1/4 mile, it looked very empty.
