With the luck of the DCE's in recent times either the 33 or a 47! If it has to be a diesel t'would be nice to have something like the Western for a change.

See a possibility on UK steam that a transfer from Bishops Lydeard to Southall is on for Monday. Perhaps that one although it is not shown on the tours page for the DCE.

Odd to see the transfer from BL ? Thought 46233 is due to return to Bristol on Saturday or is it being based in BL instead of Bristol for a couple of days ?

Just spoke to RTC and they said that 45699 should be hauling it. Glad it's steam but crushed my hopes of getting 46233 on a one off ! haha

Duchess would have been the only chance of getting steam on it's own.

Can't do Weymouth without two engines (see earlier threads). No time to get to Yeovil and back for turning. Fire risk too.

Two shots from this morning. I captured Galatea arriving at Woking and pulling away from Basingstoke.

Worting Junction. The Crompton applying a bit of shoveage, understandable as it had a Virgin X Country Voyager up its backside.

Sure footed and assistance-free departure from Southampton tonight, about 6 late. Galatea sounding superb.

45699 speeding through Walworth on the outskirts of Andover, sounding superb. A bit of assistance from the 33, but Galatea was definitely going the majority of the work.

A little grainy as the light was terrible. The video/audio came out really rather nicely, however...
