    Just to reassure anyone who may be worried about where the diesel for the return will come from, the timings show the diesel that brings the stock into Victoria returning to Stewarts Lane. The diesel for the return is coming, as expected, from Bescot Yard. DBC doing the right thing again.

    Annoying timings - we're being dumped in Hatton Down Goods so we're not due to get a clean run up the bank. That's the main reason we booked it as we've not done the engine up Hatton. Might change on the day hopefully..

    Well it would have to be a good 15 minutes late for the charter to go first as we stop at Tyseley and would be in the way. So, sadly, I can't see that happening.

    Steam rarely gets a straight run up Hatton Bank nowadays. The Duchess last year was the only exception in a long time. The moor street to Snow Hill climb & the 1/100 section past Hawthorns is the only real notable climbs further North. Maybe if you're running late, you might get a clear run.

    Yes but Tornado is now standing in for 34046/34052 and 46100 which are not available. The latter is standing in for 60009 on Scot Rail Borders trips.
