There has been previous occasions a private charter headed to Glenfinnan involving the Queen Of Scots set, which I believe is 60mph regulated.

I can't see any provision for water stops in that path either, so I'd be willing to assume a 37/47 on the QoS stock. The layover at Fort William yard may potentially be for a change to steam traction, or attachment of the GUV vehicle currently sitting in the yard into the QoS formation as it has previously accompanied the QoS stock to Glenfinnan.

Thanks for info, I thought it couldn't be steam but I was puzzled by the 60mph schedule. Not worth getting excited about then. Ill wait for my annual visit for the last week of the Jacobite and the SRPS trip.

Just so you're aware John, the final week of the Jacobite's is scheduled for No. 45407. The SRPS Tour will be single headed by No. 44871 with diesel on rear on the Saturday, and the Sunday sees No. 45407 back out to Mallaig with the Jacobite-esque section of a Statesman Tour.

Thanks, I did know that having seen the schedule for the last few weeks, I may treat myself to a week and a half to see the K1, depends on what SWMBO has planned. I didn't know about the diesel but assumed that they wouldn't let a single Black 5 through Monnessie and up to Corrour without assistance.

Sounds like David Smiths annual jaunt to Glenfinnan for himself and his wife (presume it's just the two). Took his car with him in the GUV in past years. Oh to be able to have your own private train..
