Should perhaps be in Photo section, but as it is a query...

Anyone know of any good book (illustrated) or other photo resource for pre-preservation Chilean Broad Gauge steam?
I can't find ANY photos anywhere, for example, of the 4-8-4 Type 100 or 4-8-2 express Type 110 (except of the preserved ones in the Railway Museum). Also the Borsig 4-4-0 and 0-6-0 and the NB/Hanomag 4-6-0, etc.
    Any pointers gratefully received!

There's a Bradford Barton Album "South American Steam" but my copy is up in the roof at present, so I can't check, but it is all pre-preseravtion stuff from the 60s and early 70s

Thanks Anthony for the quick and helpful response.
Could anyone who has this book confirm whether it has many Chile broad gauge photos? Or at least whether it is recommended generally?

This a great book, I have a much prized copy. However I am not aware of anything dating from slightly further back, i.e. before mid-1960s when the big express classes were still running.

"Twilight of World Steam" by Ziel/Eagleson - Published 1973 - Has some Chilean photos in it, eleven being of broad gauge subjects and one narrow gauge.
A couple of the pictures are of the NB 4-6-0's, and there is also one of a rather British looking 0-6-0 tender loco.
What the secondhand availabillity of this book is, I wouldn't like to say. Mine cost £4.50 some 40 years ago, from a bookshop on the Isle of Man, of all places!

Thanks for the pointer, I shall look out for it.
What I am really interested in is the Heyday of World Steam (Chile in this case) rather than the twilight, though. But very hard to find photos as British and American photographers only really got interested after the demise of steam at home, and local photos are not readily available.
