Excellent shots - presumably now looking for a drone to raise your photography to greater heights ?

Not sure if your comment is meant for me or Martin ? But if it was, thanks, no intention of getting a drone anytime soon. Regards, Liam

One of the dreaded machines was flown in the vicinity of the entrance to Bewdley tunnel on Sunday. :Android:

Time to move on I thought. <BJ>

I was set up on the hillside. With so many excellent locations along the railway I find it much easier just to move to a different spot. <BJ>

There was a drone filming by sandy lane at the end of the afternoon . Not noticeable in stills but I suspect annoying for videos

    Very nice video @LMarsh1987

Without either criticising or defending the drone flier I barely noticed it on the shot of 34027, and it took no effort at all in Photoshop to remove it.
Not having any experience of video editing I don't know if you could do the same but I'd imagine the noise would be the bigger problem.

Sunday was a fantastic day as was the previous Thursday for the Christmas Cracker trains, let's hope we see a few more days like that.

Why is it that all these amateur drone operators always shoot directly over the train ? For me, it doesn't work ! If I was a drone operator I would be a lot lower but well out the way of the train and photographers. I wan't to see low panning shots, so we can see the motion while maintaining a decent height !

Thanks Martin. I've yet to come across a drone that has interfered in my videos !

Sorry - jocular comment for Martin but both submissions (stills and videos) make me jealous given that domestic demands at this time of year prevent being able to photograph Santa Steam at any line.
