You may just have to wait a little in to the New Year to find out...

I am told the printed version has been delayed in order to incorporate some special runnings but I have not had this confirmed.

Fair enough, in hindsight, it was obvious, once I realised which thread-within-a-thread you were following.

That's been sitting in the WIBNI file for almost as long as running into Taunton and unless NR can be persuaded to reopen Norton Fitzwarren Junction station, and they and their predecessors have remained impervious to all suggestions concerning that for the last thirty years, there it will remain. Mind you, it was a pity that SCC didn't tap up the developer of the old Norton Cider site for some sort of station when they had the chance.
The least-cost option is for a TOC to run to BL, which is what is going to happen. Anything else will cost between megabucks and gigabucks, and is very unlikely to justify the expenditure.

Bit of a change of plan on the Steam Dreams Website. 46100 is now rostered for this trip.

The current line on to the WSR under footbridge. Is that the original and would trains Taunton to Barnstaple gone down that was or was further down?

The junction was just on the downside of the end of Station Road for both the Minehead and Barnstable branches.

    Try this:

    http://maps.nls.uk/geo/explore/#zoom=15&lat=51.0220&lon=-3.1551&layers=6&b=2

If you move the "transparency" slider (bottom left corner of page), you can see how the modern formation relates to the original - try moving the opacity back and forth between about 20% and 50%.

The intention is that the timetable leaflet will be available by 1st Jan. My guess about the 'special runnings' refers to the visit of Flying Scotsman in September, when a special timetable will be in force.

Due to the Flying Scotsman visit, Thomas and friends will not be coming this year.

    Bishops Lydeard :

Work to construct the roundabout at the Station Road / A358 Junction continues.

The A358 is now reduced to a single carriageway past the construction site with 3-way temporary traffic lights. At busy times this is now causing significant delays. Anyone coming to Bishops Lydeard for Santa or other seasonal services should allow a little extra time for their journey.

Shame about the cancellation of Thomas. Can't you not put a face on 60103 and call it Henry
