I've been trying to get that in sun for a few years now without success. That is excellent in the winter sun, I assume you are up the hill towards the radio mast

Not quite up by the radio mast John, but up the track towards the Ben Nevis Viewpoint if I remember the name correctly.

Well done both of you for making the effort ! As @Johnb says it just goes to show you can never believe the forecast for the Fort.

    Hello,

Just as a note for anyone visiting the area (or indeed any mountainous area in the UK) have a look at www.mwis.org.uk

I used to use this for our daily forecast when I was working up there and it tended to be by far the most representative forecast for the area.

Hope this is helpful to folk.

    Chris

Just missed the sun by five minutes on the first run at Glenfinnan, but nailed the sunshine on the last run ! Forecast slightly off I reckon ! 31640342222_aff5c644a8_o.jpg

Has storm Barbara had any impact on today's planned turns?
