Just found this on YouTube (not my footage, I couldn't be in 2 places at once!)

We played cat and mouse with the freight train but I think this sums up how well 46233 ran today

Is that because I've heard its going to be re-painted at Butterley this winter,?

Yes, I've heard that tale, too. I'm told she should emerge from Butterley in the spring in shiny LMS crimson. I know there are many people with fond memories of Duchesses in BR green, but I shall be really glad to see her back in her "proper" livery. However, if we want to debate this further, we should probably move the discussion to the Steam Traction section and leave this thread for yesterday's performance.

Good job I've had about 1600 miles behind 46233 in green. The problem with crimson lake, even though it is the LMS house colour, is that it just fades into the WCRC maroon carriages. But it was nice while it lasted. One hopes a splash of blue will make an appearance one day. Anyway, that's for another time and place.

Yesterday's performance of 46233 unassisted was very much appreciated. After all the ups and downs of 2016, I'm so glad that RTC were able to conclude their schedule on a good note. Kudos to everyone.
