Does anyone have any information about when this tour ran and from where and to? I have negatives of this tour showing the loco carrying this header board but have been unsuccessful in finding out anything about it including from contact with the radio station through their Facebook page. From the film and other negatives I estimate it may have taken place in the 80s'.

I think this tour ran on 17 April 1976 hauled by 7029 'Clun Castle' from Birmingham to Didcot via Stratford on Avon.

Just can't find anything 'out there' for this tour. The film is certainly old with staining and will require some restoration. Your suggested date it great and is in the ball park I had estimated. A confirmation from another member would certainly tie it off.
Than you for your info and your time.

Wow. Well I guess that confirms it for me. Johns images are great although there is doubt now with conflicting route information. 46223 suggested the tour ran from Birmingham-Stratford-Didcot, but John thinks it ran from Tyseley-Stratford-Tyseley. My images of the train are at unknown locations but I have 3 images of the loco and support coach, the loco still with the headboard on, which were taken at Didcot (Power station in background). These images run consecutively according to the negative number.
Sixbells is also my first port of call.
Thanks for your help. I am confident of the date for this tour so the metadata files for these images won't just say 'unrecorded'.

@martingem . Images of the train arriving at Tyseley in Bryan Holden's book clearly show lots of heads out of the windows . I would suggest therefore it originated at Birmingham Moor Street

The upper picture in post #5 is Oxford, could it have run to Oxford and the castle gone on to Didcot for turning?

It could very well be as the images I have of it at Didcot only show the loco with its support coach.
