    Back to the real WSR.

Another in the occasional series of WSR 'then and now'.

I can't say the garden at Station House, Stogumber is looking it's best at the moment;), the weather was a bit grey today, and there is a distinct lack of trains, but then these little chaps pop up to remind us that there is an exciting year to come......

    Showing your age!!!

However Hemelite produced fly ash filled concrete blocks in Hemel Hempstead up to the early 1980's , now made elsewhere under the same brand name.

And with coal fired power stations closing, where will they be made, or replaced by?

They were also made using the waste from China Clay production in Cornwall. Not sure if this is still so?

Great to see a different view of the progress with your garden. I expect we are all starting to miss the trains a bit now. Seems ages until March! (I know the DMU will be running in Feb before you all jump on me.)

Well these DMU things aren't a proper train, as there isn't a steam engine pulling the train, or running as a auto train. :Resistanceisfutile:

DMU are proper trains. All steam, diesel and electric trains are proper trains.

I do not recall the last time I saw a wedding train with a red light attached to the rear.

Must be going to the wrong weddings
