46115 The Cumbrian Mountain Steam Express 18/02/17.

Not seen a thread for this tour with 46115 Scots Guardsman supposedly at the helm .

I nice later than "normal" path over Shap, better for the sun angle for the photters. I don't think the sun is going to oblige tomorrow though!

It's an incredibly short amount of steam haulage on this one. Just over an hours running.

 

Sun could be difficult Ian as the forecast is wall to wall wet stuff.

 

Bit odd that nothing showing as having moved out of Carnforth yet on this link . Update 46115 is at Preston and went past Bolton le Sands at 7-50 .

Despite the predicted weather forecast, LMS 7P Class 4-6-0 No. 46115 'Scots Guardsman' makes for a fine sight and sound as it powers through Hincaster with the 'Cumbrian Mountain Steam Express'

 

Excellent as always. Like the going away sequence. Not a rapid ascent for load 10.

Thank you , I was lucky for the going away shot as normally there are cars and things in the shot but it was quiet for a change .

 

Are you for real as I bother because I love steam come rain , hail , lightning , distance ,other folk's opinions ,but the main one is that I can do it whatever anyone thinks

You keep yourself to the West side Cumbria, Scotland etc Why dont you venture further.
I did video for several years natiowide so I know what Im talkin about

Typical comment as per usual but like you say you did it for a long time but never seen much evidence photo or video wise so perhaps you need to put your footage or stills to be credible on NP

 

Steve I videoed for a firm which meant footage was copyright including trips to the jingpeng line 2003/4

If that's the case why ask me why I bothered on Saturday as you must have videoed in all weathers like I do or did you only bother when it was dry and the sun was out .

 

Steve sun is the desired effect but in Mongolia in February it is essential to go out sometimes in snow
