Now seems to be catching up with 2N26 the 0957 service from Paddington to Oxford.

Can't see anything on Open times maps that might prevent that. It overtook 2N26 just before Didcot Parkway and keeps reducing the time deficit.

1B25 now overtaking at Challow.

 

PAD to SLO 22m 36s on relief max 74.
SLO to RDG 22m 10s max 62. RDG to SWI 44m 20s. Max 75 on down main thro Didcot. Looped at Wantage Rd. 73 max after.

 

Lost all made up time in Swindon waiting for late running BTM train. Had to wait for 1215 Cardiff and odds on 1225 PAD-BTM.

 

We'd be well past Chippenham now if we had got road, with no delay to HST.

 

Looks like you are having to wait. You could even have to wait for 1225 BTM train as well. So all regained time lost and may be later than original delay from Paddington.

What a blasted shame

 

The St David now has the road from Swindon, not waiting for next BTM train and following

the 1215 Cardiff train. Wonder how much water they will have left by the time they arrive at

the water stop.

So the 48 late departure from Paddington was reduced to 27 mins on arrival at Swindon, but is now 52 minutes late on departure from Swindon.

Still wishing I had plumped for this tour instead of the SD one now nursing a pint and wondering what to do with my day

The Bree Louise has dark star Hophead on and I'm not expected home until past midnight. It could be messy
