    Any ideas as to date of this photo.
    Possibly late 1969 on a working from Manchester.

    A bit out with the date there Ploughman.

    There used to be a Fridays only 17-47 Manchester - York which was steam hauled via the Calder Valley until December 1967.
    Could it be this?

    Yes I meant 67.
    It is possible that this may have been the last BR Steam working into York.
    Unless anyone knows different.

    Well, the last 17-47 was worked by 70013 on 29-12-67, but not sure if it worked through to York or just to Leeds.
    45055 worked it on 22-12-67 and 73050 on 15-12-67.

    Can confirm that 70013 worked through to York on 29th Dec 67, cause I was on it. No idea of a date for 45279.

    I remember being very ill but managed to drag myself to the lineside to watch it go past with all my mates in the front coach!:(
