Collective known for Raves? An ecstasy of raves??
I remember a long discussion of Bulleid tenders in another thread, focussing on those on the MHR. Musical chairs with 34105, 34007 and 35005 plus a spare body (or two?) and some new frames being made. Plus Ropley made the tank ( I think)for 35006

Does anyone know why 35021 to 35027 all entered service with Light Pacific tenders.

    Thanks

Brighton were building the tenders (all MNs built at Eastleigh). Five weren't ready in time, so some spares were borrowed, presumably awaiting Light Pacifics either being built or under overhaul.

For @Matt37401 - here is Braunton in freshly rebuilt condition. Not an MN tender.

it will be done, when its done , hopefully it shouldnt be long, i would imagine Carnforth would want to have it availible before the peak season.

I believe the delay is due to a shortage of the correct shade of maroon paint. ;)

Nope. We're using that to paint our cars to match 34081. :)

Sorry, I was on about Braunton in 2010, when it returned to steam.

    As seen here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/taffytank/4957833027/in/album-72157617036530496/

I know this is slightly thread drift, but would it be right to confirm that its now running with an adapted 5250 gallon tender on the shorter wheelbase?

Meanwhile back with 35018 - its not going to be black then?

And that confirming it has a 6000 gallon length tender, which has been adapted and increased in size.
