    A few pictures from Martin Cresse's excellent charter yesterday. A pleasant change not having to get up at silly o'clock in the morning, this line is only 20 miles from home.

    Great pics you have posted John. That line looks as if it has managed to create and retain a pleasant branch line atmosphere. Makes a welcome change from wannabee main lines.

    Thank you, it was a bit of a difficult day trying to avoid burning out the sky by underexposing and bring back the shadows in PS. You are right there is still the rural charm of the local branch line although the station building was built by the preservationists from scratch. It will be a lot better when they get to use their own platform at Princes Risborough and there is still talk about extending to Aston Rowant. There is no chance of getting to the original terminus at Watlington, the M40 is in the way.
