Nothing up for this one yet. My info is that it has some very fast times for 60163 so we are booked on it.

Some very tight times with 13 on eg Doncaster to York and both ways York to Darlington, 41 north and 40 south for the 44.1 miles. Not bad Newark to Pbr either on the return. Well done to NR and all concerned for having the faith in steam, well 60163 in the case, to do this. Slow line trundle Pbr to KX but by that stage I probably wont care if all has gone well earlier in the day. Definitely one not to be missed if you are a performance enthusiast.

Indeed. York - Darlington booked times same as those achieved by 46233 on the Talisman in 2005.
But I was already committed to the Emerald Isle so it will be nos 85 and 4 for me this w/e.
Also I made the mistake of booking Clan Line on the ACE rather than Tornado to Penzance. Latter now full and I can't do 23 Sep so missed out on both.
    Looking forward to the reports.

Anagram to King's Cross without water is impressive. 120 miles or so, and only enough time for a quick splash and dash.

Newark NG is 120 miles from Kings Cross, but how even autocorrect can turn "Newark" into "Anagram" beats me.

Bit of a last minute but Wendy and I are now booked on as well. Hope to see some familiar faces. Neil

It's a Jasper Carrott joke. Apparently someone heckled him and he asked where they were from. They replied Newark. He said is it a coincidence from a place that is an anagram of w****r.

Watched Tornado pass near Church Fenton. Not sure if it had got a ton up as a two car unit had trundled past about 10 mins ahead of it. Bang on time though.

Water shortage.... No tanker and nearest hydrant not close enough. We have just moved off 59 late.

More water taken at Peterborough as the platform at Newark was required. Now 77 late but bowling along nicely.

44 late arrival which looking at the times is a good recovery.

Going by the data on RTT, it certainly looks like all on board enjoyed a cracking run from Peterborough back to the Potters Bar stop - just over 61 minutes for just about 63.5 miles, including 8 miles of slow line running from Digswell Junction to PBR ? Together with the Darlington-York leg, these, it would seem, are the even time runs that just seemed to elude us last Monday on the Heart of Midlothian. Fascinating to watch PBO-PBR being played out in real time on the OTT Maps section, but it will be even more interesting to read the insights and highlights of today's runs that hopefully will emerge in the coming days and weeks.
