Some locos are genuinely GWR or other railways. How about answering the original questions please? Surely they can't be that difficult?

    Well, Stogumber is genuinely GWR!

(And WSR, B&E, then GWR, BR(W) and now WSR again.)

So any of those would be 'correct'. But the Stogumber folk choose to present their station as GWR.

And it's a pleasure to help them where I can.

So, after 20 months away, and a change in colour (the car, not me!) I have 'Iris' back just in time for the WSR Classic Car Run this Sunday in the company of (at the last count) 82 other classics of all marques and ages.

See you all at Bishops Lydeard, Crowcombe, Stogumber, Monksilver, Woodford, Watchet, Doniford, Williton, Washford, Blue Anchor, Carhampton, Dunster, Timberscombe, Dunster, Alcombe and Minehead!

Thinking about it I can see no good reason reason why a WSR owned locomotive cannot have WSR on the side. Similarly a WSRA could locomotive could have WSRA on the side. Most punters at the railway couldn't care less.

Do I recollect correctly that 9351 has WSR on the number plate?

But those who support the railway - both financially and physically certainly could care less.

And at a time when £££s are being sought for 4561,7821 & 4110 a proposal to turn them out in a pseudo WSR livery would be a very good way of halting donated income.

The WSR plc mission statement refers to a GWR / BR(W) branch line.

Today I had my first day out on the WSR since the new roundabout on the A358 was completed. A big improvement to egress from Station Road as well as safety in general. Note that there are still temporary 30 and 40 speed limits on the approaches that are being enforced by mobile speed cameras. There are still some works in Station Road to be completed.
