In answer to my own question, I've heard Tornado may be leaving Bodmin on Friday.

Oh well. I was hoping they would because of her current guise and also due to the SR Anniversary.

didnt plan to make a big production of this, It was passing, I took the dog for a walk and I took a quick film of Tornado heading home to Stewarts Lane depot from the Bodmin Railway. Surprisingly it was on the up fast, the up slow having been at red for some considerable time. While there I did a quick vid of the platform edge on the down slow (Plat 3) that has been causing an issue with the Scotsman. Clearly the platform edge is migrating about a bit!

Cutting back a platform edge to gauge can be done but needs something like this -
    https://www.hss.com/hire/p/floor-track-saw-petrol-350mm
But this needs to have the blade running outside the wheel track unlike this one.
A full survey of the platform is required to determine how much is needed to be cut off and where and would need a possession and isolation to carry out the survey.

However the proper solution would be to lift all the copes, cut back into the surfacing about 150mm, then reset all the copes to gauge and backfill the surfacing.

And of course, you wouldn't bother to do that for an occasional visit of a steam locomotive whereas the need is somewhat greater for regular trains - witness Thatcham.

Just found this on RTT, and after referring to OTT times, it's booked to water at Connington Loop; This coming Saturday, York N.R.M. to Stewarts Lane (Also supposed to turn L/E on arrival at Battersea). Just thinking what it could possibly be - some on Facebook have said 60009, but nothing is clear.
