This seems to be under way from Norwich, with I assume No 9 in charge - is there any confirmation of it.

Interesting manoeuvres from the driver of the water tanker at Nuneaton. Didn't know how to get to where he should be. The two tone horn is from the water tanker trying to reverse. Eventually No 9 came along and stopped and gave him directions! Video coming later. In the rush to get set up in the second location the mic was not properly connected - so no sound

Hope there isn't a problem with the return leg. I watched it through Stafford, expecting a pretty quick run through as she was on the fast, but she seemed a little laboured to me and rather pedestrian. Time was lost on the descent from Madeley to Stafford and I see from RTT that more time was lost at Atherstone. Video of both passes through Stafford to follow.

Looks to have been on time arriving at Atherstone for the water stop but the stop took 20 minutes longer than expected. The tender looked low on coal at Nuneaton on the outward leg - pure speculation but I wonder if she has picked up some duff coal. Has then lost time all the way to Leicester.

I'm thinking the delays might well be at least partially due to external factors, as she seems to be holding her own much of the time, and is only 22 down as I write this.

I was wrong to expect a fast run through Stafford, as I wrote above, as I realised later she only crossed from slow to fast at Stafford North Junction. Not sure what the restriction is there, but it would explain the slower than I expected progress through the station.

I wonder if plans changed at Peterborough? What I take to be a water stop just before the station was commuted to a three minute stop, then the booked seven minutes at P'boro station turned into a twenty five minute one.

I believe the original Peterborough Yard stop was to detach USA and go on diesel hauled back to Norwich. RTT seems to imply USA did come out of the yard and go to the NVR. So it would be good to know what really happened as you can not change a loco in three minutes.
