Any chance of a working timetable so that it is possible to see what is happening at Leekbrook?

 

Sorry can’t help with that, but I’m not sure if things will go to plan anyway: on the second trip up to Ipstones today the points at the Cheddleton end of the loop failed and it took the crew half an hour to jam them into a position that enabled 4277 to run round and bring the stock back down the hill. I had to head home after that but It didn’t look good for any more runs up to Ipstones today. Anyone know what happened after? All credit to the crew who had to deal with the problem in pouring rain and high winds.

 

Both runs up Ipstones in the afternoon were only a few minutes down. The rain wasn't as heavy as forecasted. A good show considering some of the challenges they have encountered across the Friday and Saturday !

The last two Ipstones trips ran too-and-tail and reversed at the stop board some distance short of the loop.

6046 did not run today - not sure why - it was in steam at Cheddleton all day.

 

I suppose that explains why 33102 'Sophie' was running.

 

Loco has been running in a bearing hence accumulating mileage before reentering service; it is hoped to be running on Sunday but not guaranteed.

 

It isn't hoped for 6046 to be running, its not quite ready for passenger services

Dry weather tomorrow is forecast for after 10:00am

 

Trains will be running to Ipstones Loop tomorrow as planned with locos running round.

Unfortunately a limited amount of time to update it, on Friday we thought running might have been possible

 

So easy to criticise. Maybe it might be easier and less "naughty" if the organisers didn't bother producing working timetables.

Three different locos today at the 25th Anniversary Gala

 

Blimey! You must have left home early to catch train #1 at Leekbrook! I was on trains #2 & 3. Interesting spot for #3 up by the dreaded Four Fields Crossing, I think you got the best of 4277 there. Not sure why we had the unscheduled stop not long after that but you caught us pulling away to Apesford - smokey! Good work fella.

 

Yes - sparrow's fart catches the rain. Should have stayed in bed longer.
