That's going to upset the FS fans. Wonder how many will try to cancel.

    Not all will notice .......

The number of the Great British Public who thought the loco last Saturday at Bognor and Littlehampton was Flying Scotsman was noticeable. ( Not too bad, "SCOT" in the name, same livery and same number of cylinders! )

The main thing is they stopped and looked, wondered and appreciated. Perhaps, just perhaps, it planted the seed of visiting a heritage railway some time. They did not have their noses welded to "reality" as shown on their smart phones.....

    Cheers, Neil

I would hope that those who still wish to travel should be offered a refund equivalent to the Flying Scotsman "premium".

I have already asked. To he honest though I would be happy with any substitute. It's the route which appeals. Hope there's no DL in the back as it's mid leaf fall

If a backup diesel is considered necessary for Clan Line on the Belmond round Surrey during leaf season, almost certainly one will be considered this weekend.

Just looked.....no light engine movements from Paddington to Southall so I think the dreaded diesel will be on the rear of this one :-(

Looks like it. Now do I go or not? Does that also mean the whole train will be turned at Worcester?

At Reading waiting for it. Can anybody advise if there is a DL on the back and which way round the stock is? Thanks

Some DL push at Reading start but none detected since Oxford. Doing well but delayed by service trains as usual

Yep no diesel employment either side of Oxford. Bodes well for a crepuscular climb of Sapperton .....

11 on. DL pushed from Morton IM. Ray Poole doesn't usually like DL help so let's hope he takes Sapperton without the DL
