Some time ago Didcot were talking about a 38xx County. It was then rumoured to be moved to the SVR, but I don't think anything was ever announced. Nothing can be easily found on Facebook or the websites - does anybody know the plan for the future, or has it been put on hold?

I believe its still at a planning/collecting parts stage. There's not a shortage of active projects at Didcot, and the most recent mention I can see in a GWS magazine states that the GWS is not (currently presumably) in a position to make a start. There was also a mention that the editor of one of the railway mags might be going to take on a project leadership role, but I don't know if it came to anything. My uninformed guess is that once the Saint is completed and running then there might be folk looking for a new project.
