    No diesel on the back on the You Tube clip I've seen and No.9 supplying steam heat judging by the wisps of steam from the first 5 carriages and the large steam leak on carriage 6.

    No diesel at the back - just pulling into waterstop at Babworth loop. Nearly 2 hours late. Not ideal.

    No one is actually saying how long we'll have in York, which is a shame

    No 9 has moved up to to Retford - kind of wondering if 1Z99 (that is immediately behind 1H02) is assisting with the problem and not a scheduled train/loco movement

    Lucky in some ways that it's a different loco on the return as at least the path back won't be dictated by how long the support crew need to service No 9. Nevertheless it looks like a shorter break at York than planned as a 2343 return to Norwich is late enough without even considering whether the return start time can be delayed.

    They've made an announcement - return is not delayed. 1hr and 20mins in York by the sounds of it....

    Not great if you are in Standard or First and were hoping to get some lunch, but there really are no options. As was said earlier, even with steam only as far as Peterborough on the return a scheduled arrival is not until 2343 at Norwich. Think I am glad I was not a steward today, I also think one of my colleagues may have been a steward on all three badly delayed trips this week.

    Might be interesting heading south as 1H02 is still where it was (and still accompanied by 1Z99), but they appear to have closed the two adjacent southbound lines and a queue of trains is now forming. For some reason the remaining northbound line seems to still be open. EDIT: and just after I typed that they opened one of the southbound lines

    Yep - would a train that has apparently suffered a significant diesel leak still provide heating etc?

    They must be getting tired at looking at the inside of those coaches. Just worked out that there is 83 scheduled minutes standing in various loops or stations on the return steam leg, plus another 30 minutes for the loco change at Peterborough.

    Did not hit anything it would appear, 'catastrophic failure of the engine' may well explain why they cannot move it.

    Well, at least the Peterborough-bound passengers will have time to enjoy their dinner - with the 57 on last time, we got to Peterborough just as they served coffee!
