I don't know, nothing has been said as yet, but 65894 has always been restricted to around 5 coach loads in the past, which means that it isn't much work for it in the summer (unless it double-heads with 29, which is similarly restricted or is top & tailed with a diesel) but I think 69023 is due for overhaul soon and 65894 might well take its place at Wensleydale.

 

I would recommend one of their steam galas. Lots of action, including freight, and the Balm Road branch is normally only used for galas.

 

The Middleton will be 260 years old in 2018 and continously worked for all that time - nobody else can match that

For a 7 mile line that doesn’t seem like that many locomotives. 34081 must do a very high mileage?
