Low Gill 57; Tebay 70; Scout Green 39; 37 1/4 23.5, 44m 8.44s. Brisk run down bank, Penrith 77, Carlisle 3 early. Carnforth U&DGL to Carlisle 73m 45s. Cracking run. Believe Ron Smith on regulator.

    Noticed this one again didn’t carry a headboard. Is there any reason for this? Surely there is one at Carnforth and it’s the best kind of free advertising. Watch any video of any steam tour through a station and the people not expecting to see one are amazed. If you see it’s called the Cumbrian Mountain Express or the Fellsman you can go home and google it and buy a ticket yourself. Seems like a missed opportunity
