She is in a dismantled condition and many parts have been reconditioned, but work is suspended for the time being. The new cylinder block is in position but not yet fully bolted in, but the coupled wheels were found to be badly cracked, to the point where new wheel centres are required. I believe that Beamish has agreed to order these, but until they arrive - or an arrival date is given - there is little point in further work.

Paul Jarman meantioned it in his blog earlier this month: http://beamishtransportonline.co.uk/2018/02/ti-news-2-2018/

...but only in as much as to say, "I’ll report on Dunrobin in due course, there has been a further delay to the project but a resolution is now in hand and more will be revealed very soon."
I guess it's a case of keeping an eye on the blog for when they're ready to make further public announcements on the project.

Meanwhile, in other other news the same blog post shows the carriage that came across with it is now finished and due to go into service this year.

The saloon which came back from Canada with Dunrobin. Entered service today. As you say she had more problems than originally anticipated. But expecting a very high standard finish with the amount of effort and resources going into her.

I just about remember seeing 'Dunrobin' and it's carriage at New Romney, far longer ago than I care to remember ( I was very young at the time!). I'm amazed to learn the saloon is back in service already. Having had a glance at both the Beamish website and the (enthralling) Facebook page - and drawn a blank - are any recent images of this charming little carriage available please?

Some photos of it together with the NLR 2nd class compartment here on the superb transport blog:

    http://beamishtransportonline.co.uk/2018/02/ti-news-2-2018/

I was able to go for a ride on it during February half term, it's even more charming in real life

The Beamish transport blog, listed in Worsdell's post above is the best source of transport info for Beamish.
