    Hi Guys

Can anyone help me, I have just been asked on another forum if anyone knows what has happen to all the rolling stock that appeared in the St Trinian's Great Train Robbery film.

I know the film was shot on the Longmoor Military Railway, but the question was mainly about what happen to the wickham and the pump trolley.

The Wickham trolley is now on the Weardale railway I believe.

One of the Austerity tanks used was Errol Lonsdale, previously at Mid Hants and South Devon and now in Belgium.

I did a course at LMR when it was still operational shortly after the film was made and we were shown some of the railway scenes of the film. I remember being told that the pump trolley was not pumped at all. The pump arm served no useful purpose and was not connected to the wheels and had to be pushed up to a speed before the shots were taken.

The Pump Trolley was a prop but made on a Wickham Trolley chassis.

The Wickham Trolley is now owned by The Rail Trolley Trust and is undergoing full restoration at the Chasewater Railway.

What about the 08 which scared the living daylights out of the crew in the Wickham when both entered a tunnel from opposite ends?

I believe that was of LMS origin (similar to class 11) rather than an 08. Longmoor had two of them but both long since scrapped.

A similar loco survives at the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway. Currently in black livery, but it has been painted up in blue as a LMR loco in the past.

Thanks, Stephen - I'd forgotten about those.
