There's 2 options, you can walk down and go through the field before the footbridge, there's a small car park there, or you can cross the footbridge and take the footpath immediately to the right and if you carry on for the same distance you can get a photo there. If you carry on following the river on that bank you can get a nice photo of the trains opposite Trimpley Reservoir. Or if you do a left off the footbridge and head off towards Arley Church, you can get a nice train in the landscape photo from the churchyard.

Today's forecast for the Gala is heavy rain tomorrow, then turning colder for Saturday and Sunday with maybe some snow but this is likely to be very minor amounts. Probably won't see much sun.

Has anyone identified (a) which way locomotives are facing and (b) whether locomotives will remain facing the same way throughout the gala ?

Never seen so many locos facing north before. Usually the bigger locos always face south.

And having just tested it, if you're feeling sprightly you can take a photo of a bridgenorth bound train crossing the bridge, then catch it on to bridgenorth! :)

The WTT shows a 1746 ex KDR on Fri/Sat but this isn't reflected in the public timetable, is this an ECS move/private working?
