    Wow looks great !

Though it’s a shame.. it’s the first time I’ve seen a video of steam climbing miles platting where all windows are tightly closed, just one a slight crack open... the occupants onboard.. can they hear anything at all ?, maybe glimpse the odd whisp of steam ?
Do they even know that Miles Platting is a hill, not an economist ?

    But great show for photographers.
Still as long as it makes a profit, that’s what it’s all about.

You don't measure enjoyment by the number of heads at windows especially when it's wind chill minus 5 outside.

If you had the ability to read and not type rubbish at 1805 on Wednesday somebody in the know stated 45407 would be on the inside and heating the train .

Perhaps you are looking at a different video because even on full screen, it's impossible to tell if the top lights are open a couple of inches or not, then there's the fact that most of the time the train was shrouded in steam anyway, but if you wish to draw negative conclusions so be it.

    A Thingy...
Winter wonderland on the branch. I think this view was well worth the inconvenience of an early morning and four hours in Buxton. Incidentally, the climb of Miles Platting was of a slightly different order to last year's trip to Buxton insofar that we had an extra locomotive this time... Still, it could be heard, quarterlights open or not. IMG_20180317_151327054.jpg

The fact that there was a crew change at Stockport meant that several folk were able to save an hour and a half to Manchester by getting off. For me it means I can now get south with minimum hassle.

A good day despite the temperature. Rare steam track last covered 50+ years ago, I think. Quite a lot of complicated loco and shunt manoeuvres, all handled very well. A lovely warm coach where we were and both locos very competently handling their brief in tricky conditions.

Another WC/RTC triumph of the unusual. Well done and thanks to all.

Not my video but the crew on 45690 seem puzzled at the position of the camera .

That's because this video was taken from a walkway by the track that was not for public use. They were where they shouldn't have been. I remember seeing them. Two people.

Just looked up this video on YouTube, and the posters comments were "Cheers to the WCRC crew for the whistles and thumbs up"
I suspect he misread the meaning of the whistle:rolleyes:
