Thought I'd put these here, as this ones not been listed on Uk Steam for some reason.

Going by the timed for 95mph max, & the 1Z47 headcode, I would say this is a class 47 hauled train.

This may be why it is not on uksteam.

I wouldn't read anything significant into the 1Z47 headcode. The max speed and train weight do suggest that the outward run may be DL-only. However, there's time for a loco change at Hellifield. The return trip is timed for max 60mph and train weight 715 tonnes, which looks like a steam-hauled train. The details page on RTC's site has been updated with a note about DL assistance because of fire-risk, then says "Our train will be hauled from Hellifield to York via Carlisle by either 45699 Galatea or 45690 Leander or 8F no 48151."

RTC web site notes it will be steam hauled from Hellifield to Carlisle to York with diesel assistance. The 95max sections I would expect to be the diesel sections before and after this, the same as you would see for a CME originating from London Euston.

This tours been advertised for ages, so I suspect it's just been missed off Uk Steam by mistake.

Nope. This is a RTC trip with steam from Hellifield to Carlisle to Low Fell to York.
Edit: Ooops, sorry. Talked about already.

Apologies all (won't quote all of the above).

35018 British India Line is the loco to be heading the Hadrian railtour from Leicester to Carlisle via the S&C with 35018 joining the tour from Hellifield. The return to York will see 35018 take the Tyne Valley Line .

It'll be a bit unfortunate if this proves to be a show pony job featuring 35018 pushed along through the significant rain forecast for much of tomorrow.

Indeed Danny, will be using two different locations for a whistle and hopefully some exhaust.

Best of luck Steve, hopefully with it being the MN, the SSE mode of assistance is used.

Cononley this morning. Not the best pic but it was very gloomy and positively hissing it down! 35018 was trundling along with 37516 in tow. Good exhaust from the Merchant in these conditions. The 37 was working.

Chucking it down at Horton. Perhaps the MN will be allowed to work today.

Maybe not if the fire risk protocol is still in force. I daresay more than a few eyebrows will be raised looking out the window if it's explained why a diesel is doing the work too.

Little chance anyway. Looking in on the Railcams it's sunny now at HIR, RHD and KSW.

I'm sure that the NR fire wardens don't work at weekends so it'll be next week before any review and there's no guarantee that the situation will change.

Whiffs and whistles to keep the passengers reminded there's a steam engine involved.
