    Just dropping by to say WOW. The Duchess looks absolutely stunning, in the sunlight all that gold leaf positively glows. Clearly the adoring crowds at the SVR today agreed with me, you could barely get a photo spot whenever it was around.

    Had to chuckle at one chap who insisted that it was no good in crimson and that it should be BR green, didn't stop him taking umpteen million photos of it though!

    And now I'm going to go to sleep to the sound of a Manor working its way up the valley - days don't get much better than this. :)

    I was not very impressed by the countersunk socket screws holding the nameplates on. What happened to slotted head screws? They were not even flush. The rest of the loco was lovely, though.

    It is just as easy to remove a socket screw rather than a slotted screw. In fact it is probably easier and quicker.
