They're the wrong way round. Shouldn't the lower power class be at the front

On Great Western lines the assisting engine was coupled inside between the train engine and the train.

But that was in the 50's and 60's. Surely that rule/regulation no longer exists?

The trains are all about Flying Scotsman so there's no way it would be tucked inside.

I had a bit of a laugh at lunchtime looking for pictures of Scotsman on social media. Ian Riley will be pleased as a few people have posted pictures just of 44871 with the comment underneath "I have seen The Flying Scotsman!". How did they miss the big Green Loco in front of the Black Five with a nameplate that says FLYING SCOTSMAN?

If the lowest power loco on the job was on the front, it would be the snout!

Yes 'Scotsman Fever' certainly broke out in Somerset and Devon this evening, I forgot that the lineside would probably be extra busy! Managed to see it at Whiteball and then get down to Powderham about 10 minutes before it passed. Nice and sunny when I was at the WSR earlier in the day but unfortunately pretty gloomy for this:

Blimey we must be getting blasé up here in civilisation, there was literally only three men and my dog at Kintbury.
