Lužná u R. - Rakovník and back on the 6th and Lužná u R. - Kolešovice and back on the 7th.

My planned trip from Salzburg to Kraków passed close to Brno (CZ) on 8th September, with a steam special (see brochure) conveniently taking place on that day.

It seems, in GB, that we're not the only ones to suffer alternative motive power.​

At least they got a Bardotka! A cross between a Hymek and Brush Type 4! I was happy to see one ticking over @ Praha hln back in June

I already hear the sound from a double kylchap exhaust (or a Giesl for 'Kremak') and air-pressure operated reverser from this engines.

It was a great event ! I rode the train on Saturday and went to the Prague suburbs to photograph on Sunday. Super weekend. When the train reversed at Kladno, we had a 4-6-2 tank engine as top and
tail

Thanks Knut...the tank engine was a beast. Not sure about the smoke deflector though...

 

A had actually the same thoughts John, the smoke deflector isn`t nice at all. Looks like a oversized shirt button!
