Just a guess, but could that be 5542 heading to the SDR from the Battlefield Line?

It might have been 5526 going to Buckfastleigh from the Chinnor Railway.

    Ok thanks. Hadn't realised.
That said, it's still lined out differently to the other one. And presumably it's some sort of indication that the mogul might return in a BR livery?

I can confirm that it was 5526 which was on a Reid transport trailer as I saw it on the M4 travelling towards Bristol some hours earlier while driving towards South Wales for a local Society meeting last night.

I think that I read somewhere that both Tenders will both be in BR green so that will be inter changeable.

Umm, I think that should be:
Left to right, 6960 Raveningham Hall, 6024 King Edward 1, 7828 Odney Manor
    :)

What I was getting at is that the top line looks slightly too low. Compare e.g. this image of 7805 https://flic.kr/p/2cBtjaB . I don't think the top panel was commonly lined out in BR days.

Just a note on Swindon Shed goings-on.
Words liked 'turfed out' or 'evicted' are a little harsh.
Projects move in & out of anybody's restoration shop depending on the priorities & resources of the time.
It's nothing unusual, in my opinion.
Our own Shop has revolving doors!

Edit: By the way, the Plc had a plan to build carriage storage sheds at BL - what happened to that?

The word 'evicted' was used a good many times in this WSR thread during 2018. So it is not an uncommon word here.

The pattern of rivets are different so it may be slightly misleading.

Agreed, and the lighting makes the comparison tricky.

My understanding is that in GWR days the tender lining (but not on Manors - they were unlined) went along the bottom of the tank, up the sides and around the top of the fender in the same way that the cab lining went all the way to the top. In B.R. days (Manors only went into lined green from 1957) the cab lining was a simple 'box' under the cab windows. For a short time tenders had the fender lined separately from the tank but this was soon abandoned and the standard single panel on the tank became standard, as in the image of 7805. Hope I've explained it clearly enough!
    Ray.

So for a Gala line up you want 4093 Dunster Castle & 7036 Taunton Castle but what are the most appropriate Halls, Manors & Granges?

Doesn't the 813 Fund have stock on the WSR?
