Posts on Facebook report that one of the invited guests on today's run was a 94 year old chap who was one of the team who built 7029 in 1950 at Swindon Works. Really heartwarming and touching. I bet back in 1950 after helping to build her he had no idea he would be riding her on the mainline in 2019!

Meanwhile, Clan Line went out on a test run in London last night: "On the night of Monday 25th February, through to the morning of Tuesday 26th, we ran between Willesden Southwest Sidings and Clapham Junction five times, with no sign of any of the bearings running hot." (see https://www.clan-line.org.uk/news/slane_6/)

Anyone found any timings for 60163 to come off the Wensleydale Railway? I've been looking and there's nothing showing for tomorrow or Saturday. Of course it could be one of the 'hush hush' paths.

Have a look at Ferryhill South Jct 0800 tomorrow 5Z63 and 5Z64. Not the whole story, obviously.

Who'd have thought, but fingers crossed it's the start of a bright future between West coast and the A1trust.

I'm reading it as 5Z63 is stock move to Ferryhill for the test. 5Z65 is the test back to Carnforth (which becomes 5Z10 to Doncaster).

I think 5Z10 is the stock for the Settle and Carlisle Thunderer as 5Z11 is the continuation to Peterborough. The Auld Reekie still not showing as a departure from Doncaster on Sunday, and strange if Tornado is going to Carnforth on Friday. I suppose all will be revealed in due course.

Could it be both? 5Z17 is a move from Peterborough to Doncaster at the end of Saturday. Puts the stock used on the Thunderer in the right place for Sunday.

Thought that Thunderer was WC and Auld Reekie was DBC/Riviera? However........
