Well at least I've still got the Ynys Mon express from East Mids parkway and the Mad Hatter from Wakefield Kirkgate in that order on the way and a full refund from UKRT. have said yes it can go through to Harrogate NR said no no. I think the same bridge V2 green arrow struck is causing the concern for steam to run via Headingley out of Leeds

Anyone who’s booked on The Bard of Avon on 23rd March know whether it’s still running? No longer showing on the UKRT website.

It is still showing. You need to look under the Tornado section https://www.ukrailtours.com/product/the-bard-of-avon/

    Thanks.
Didn’t realise they had a separate section for Tornado.

I suffered the same confusion recently. Contributing to the confusion is that their email updates do list their own tours and the Trust's all together.

Yes cos U.K.R.T. sends me tours list programmes for diesel tours besides tornado tours.

Borrowed from ferry hill railways facebook page:

A fantastic achievement that allows steam to once again venture along the north east.
The first time the table has been used in 20 or more years, one of the last users was Blue Peter in 1995

I think 44871 may have been the last turned at Ferryhill. It was a real push and we had to balance the loco on the table due to the massive wear in the centre bearing.

Great work in getting the table working again. Shame the Perth one won't be joining it in a better future

I think you’ll find it was actually 61264 on 30/09/00, with an Highland Rail Festival tour from Inverness.

I was actually turned myself on the turntable, about five years later, as a test, before the trust took over!

I think this is where I may have gotten mixed up thinking the K4 was turned in the early 00's

Looks like it was the B1.

News from the Trust seems to have tailed off recently, apart from marketing emails and letters. In particular, the last Communication Cord I received was #51 last November. Have I missed something? Or maybe sorting out Tornado's return has taken up all of their concentration and delayed matters.
