Will look great with the quad arts or double heading with the Y14.

Just read in the latest SR that the planned M&GN theme is no longer going ahead due to the unavailability of 43106.

    While it’s a shame 419 is a cracking visitor.

Am I missing something, or are the QuadArts not coming out to play?

Not every gala has quads and subs out together.

Is 419 the only visitor this year?

Spotted 419 on a low loader passing RAF Lakenheath earlier today.

I'm planning on coming on the Sunday. I presume Holt footbridge hasn't been done yet as there has been nothing on Joint Line.

Yes. Although the 7f makes its debut as a home fleet loco. It's only done 1 other nnr gala as a guest I think.

I was up last weekend and no sign of any work starting on the Holt bridge. Guess negotiations for land acquisition are still ongoing.

Quality over quantity. Personally I'm happier to see one unusual guest rather than locomotives that are a bit more commonplace.

53809 did both the 2016 and 2017 Autumn galas as guest loco.

Visited yesterday, there was a problem in the afternoon when the Scottish visitor set fire to Kelling bank. Line was closed for a few hours, so timetable went out of the window with trains shuttling between Weybourne and Sheringham. Fortunately I didn't get stuck at Holt! To be fair was all handled well by staff and volunteers, things were running to the timetable again by about 4 but with different locos and stock than allocated. 419 was retired to the naughty corner at Weybourne after its mishap, hope it is running again today for all attending. Also the goods didn't appear at all until the very end of the day, any one know why?

Visiting today, timetable seems to be running one train behind. Not sure if the Mk1 suburban parked in a siding at Sheringham may be a factor.

419 failed. Sat at Weybourne trying to raise pressure on 13:03 ex Sheringham, now to be piloted by 20227 to Holt.

Correction. 419 abandoned at Weybourne and 20227 worked to Sheringham. Timetable trashed. Not sure whether I’m on very late running 14:29 (matches loco diagram) or more or less on time but off diagram 15:35.

Info from the NNR Facebook page, they are unable to repare 419 for tomorrow. Replaced by 20227.

The NNR always seems to suffer from bad luck with it's galas. Such a shame with the immense amount of effort and hard work that goes on behind the scenes to prepare these events.
