Since Lizzie returned from it's loaded test run only a few days back what tours around the north is she most likely to be allocated to, reason I'm asking is I'm after a run behind her on the mainline (I travelled behind her at the ELR in 2006 but not yet done the mainline). I'm thinking she might be chosen for the Scarborough trains as we had BIL on them last year so wouldn't be unusual, anyone know anything else or got an idea what she might do around the north.

Although Lizzie isn't going to be changed from LMS colours she could do with a refresh of the livery and have a new coat of LMS crimson lake applied.

No point doing it until she is fully certified. Like all things 10A we'll just have to wait and see (and I don't have a problem with that).

Why does 6201 need a coat of paint as looking at close ups of her at Hellifield last Thursday a good wash and a polish will have her looking dandy .

Get the oily bits right on the SSE this summer and then a wash and brush up and it'll be a cracker...........like wot BIL is. Because I don't think anybody can fault Carnforth the way they went about getting BIL into what we have today.
Picture the scene, 6201 blasting through Tebay, fireman doing his stuff, and it flattens Shap.;)

10A could definitely do with 6201 back on the running loco roster table this year if 45699 45690 and 46115 are the only locos awaiting to come back from the repair shop and 8f maybe bowing out soon at least then there are 2 Class 8s available. It would be a surprise to see Lizzie on the Dalesman or Scarborough runs.

As per my post elsewhere something was being reunited with its boiler at Carnforth yesterday, couldn't see who it was but in poor light on a fast train it looked black?

Last year the SSE trains were run with 35018 British India Line with 45690 Leander making a brief appearance to the programme. With 35018 booked to work a number of trips down south and possibly helping with the Torbay Express trains (would be more ideal for that than 6201) what would be an ideal engine for the trains this year.

Seeing as 6201 has just returned to service it would be a good trip for the engine to bed it in following the long spell out of traffic for repairs as it's said that it can be better to start out with short runs before going for runs over Shap and Ais Gill etc. Im interested in the programme for this year but it does depend on what the loco is gonna be.

Will you give it a break? We all know what you would like to see, but it isn't up to you last time I checked.

What on earth makes you think that 6201 is going to be on the Scarborough trains and BIL is going to be on the Torbays? The latter is in the booked pool for the Torbays, which suggests it is likely to be operating in the SW for at least part of the summer. Nothing (apart from your uninformed speculation) has been said about BIL 'doing' any of the Torbays! Note how three locomotives are in the pool for the Torbays – Union of South Africa, Duchess of Sutherland and Princess Elizabeth.

Your uninformed whinging - yes, I've seen your posts on the Torbay Express FB page - and speculation is getting out of hand. I would have thought JS' note yesterday may have made you think twice about spouting nonsense but clearly not...

Besides, the first trip to Scarborough is just under three months away. Chill out and stop posting nonsense, please. The locomotive allocations will come out when they come out and you – and I, and most people on this forum – cannot do anything to influence the choices.

NB - I am a long-time lurker. My thanks go to those who post useful and informative information.
