Found this on youtube of No.9 on the Edinburgh-Aberdeen. Worth a look. Totally passive Class 37.

Al, with respect, I’ve seen Will’s video about 4 miles out of Aberdeen with the 37 pushing very hard. A nudge it most definitely wasn’t...

Being 2x coaches from the rear on the return, I can confirm we were shoved by the 37 out of Aberdeen, out of both Dundee and Perth and somewhere else on one of the single line sections North of Dundee (but being my first time on this line I don't know locations that well). She seemed to push us up to line speed and then ease back, so not the biggest involvement but enough to have a say in proceedings.

B1 and Black 5 off, BIL on. RTT predictive timings in the second column. Don’t trust RTT...

A beautiful day 6 ended in Ayr after great moorland climbs and a big turn out in Stranraer where i'm told it's 5 years since they last had a Steam Loco visit. Looking forward to tomorrow when the pair haul us to Carlisle where it is planned British India Line will take us to Scarborough (& Yorkshire :)) for 2 nights.

Waterbuck, Is that severe scorching on the smokebox door of 1264 or a trick of the light?

A member of the support crew said at Stranraer that they had paint with them, and it would be repainted before this morning.

    Interesting video (not mine!) here

Out of interest what formation was the train in, as it looks like the 5 was alone on the front pulling in yet the B1 appears later in the shots?

The train was doubled headed to Dungragit(the last passing place before Stranraer) , where the B1 came off, then followed the train in on a later path. For the returned the train was top and tailed.

The points could not be moved at the harbour in 2014, so I guess that was the thinking behind this. NR staff struggled for ages but no go. DSC08586.JPG

GB12 arrival at Carlisle. Unfortunately, 35018 which was supposed to be positioned on one of the centre roads, was hidden away on A road.
