Had the sound on as it passed KS, the 47 seemed to start working after passing the camera and 6201's beat increased too. The 47 seemed quiet at Ribblehead and Horton.

Sounded like it to me on the webcam. All can't be 100% as 24 minutes from Appleby to KS is pretty slow.

If a class 7 or even an 8 has eleven over the Midland and a 47 is in the formation then I don't see how the 47 can't be used, just responsible operation on the modern railway.

There was a signal problem near Stockber as 6201 shut off before my video camera and stopped behind me before Crosby Garret for a short while. Video is uploading from this morning but taking forever to process for some reason .

A definite change in the weather today as 'Princess Elizabeth' works 'The Pennine Limited' through Selside and onto Carlisle, Mick Kelly driving and Bob
    Bullock on the shovel

With the heavens now opened up 'Princess Elizabeth' works away from Smardale Cutting with the return leg of 'The Pennine Limited' with Mick Rawling
driving and Chris Holmes on the shovel

There was a signal failure at the intermediate block between Appleby and KS, which meant we had to talked past it by the signalman. Also the distant was ‘on’ approaching KS and therefore we couldn’t be sure that the section signal, past KS, was clear, until we could see it, hence the slow pass through KS.

Certainly nothing wrong with 6201 - in fine form today.
