Just a detail but I see the York to Hellifield section now has a visit to a loop at Skipton to be overtaken by the 1049 to Carlisle there rather than at Hellifield. That is because the down goods loop seems to be out of action at Hellifield and the loco changes are happening in the station platform. I wonder if something happened as a result of the problem the other week. Anyway, 20 mins at Hellifield to knock off two diesels and attach the loco seems like quite a challenge!

It seems to have been a late departure from Hellifield and miss out the Appleby stop for a roughly right time arrival in Carlisle for quite a few tours recently.

Don’t forget the horse fair has just finished so another reason to miss out Appleby perhaps as it will still have plenty of Travellers about ;)

Good call. I can't quite work out what happened between Skipton and Hellifield, but anyway the 1049 unit failed to overtake so is behind the charter. Just as well there's no need to stop for water. It might be Hellifield-- Carlisle in under 100 mins.

Is that the Scarborough Flyer listed on UK Steam? It says it's a RTC tour, but I can't see it on their web site anymore.
