I understand the overhaul of 60532 will start in earnest shortly, once the repairs to 46100 have been completed. Seems they're finding more issues with the quality of the work done at Southall.

If anyone's interested, Peter Adds, a trustee from LSL/RST, will giving a talk at the Stevenage Loco Society on Thursday 25th July, 7.30pm start.

Fantastic day, despite the weather. Huge range of exhibits.

Great photos, thanks for posting them. I think that's the back of my head next to 70000.

There was also what looked like a brand new smokebox in that yard, next to 60532's cab, but no-one I spoke to seemed to know what it was.

Could be for the 9F boiler or, indeed, 60532.

They couldn't have done much work at Southall, only facility on the LSL side is a pit.

But Port is on the starboard side of 35022 this time. Port & starboard are left and right - facing forward.

The boiler shop had a new smokebox for 60532.
In this image taken at the event, the foreground boiler is from 9F 92245 to be used on 92212. The copper firebox is new and is for the spare A4 boiler acquired from FS for 60019 Bittern I believe. Blue Peter's boiler is out of view at the back of the shop.

Wasn't 60532. There was a new one for 60532 on display, but it was in the boiler shop, and unpainted.

EDIT: I see someone else got there before me, apologies for the duplicate info.

Looks like the frames, cab and tender in the second photo in the first post.
