A little bird has mentioned the possibility of 6201 Lizzie hauling a private charter on the N.Wales Coast this weekend, anybody throw any light on this one?

Booked on Crewe HC this afternoon, but since earlier this week there has been no access from North Wales to platform 6 due to a defective crossing which is going to be plain lined tonight - this may affect usage of the GF?

The ECS for tomorrow's private charter from Crewe to Holyhead passing Hartford behind 57314 with 6201 in light steam on the rear.

Excuse my ignorance but where is this? I'm assuming Crewe, as there aren't many (any?) other stations on the route with six platforms, but I can't see a platform 6 figuring on either the outbound or the return run.

I’m tempted to go out for this but it’s a blooming long round trip from Bedfordshire.

By a stroke of good fortune I happen to be in the Llandudno Junction area for the week so it would be rude not to see it.

I'd rather film the departure than the arrival. I assume the 90 odd minute stop is for watering and or pathing. Anyone care to guess how likely an early departure from Llandudno Junction might be?

No excuse for not keeping to time then :D

Looks like it's at least in part for an advert. Posh chap with an expensive looking gold pocket watch was being filmed extensively next to the loco during the water stop at Llandudno Junction.

A couple of shots of the Rolex Express making its way along the North Wales Coast, firstly approaching Abergele & Pensarn station...

Three from Llandudno Junction. Video to follow but not until I'm home next weekend.

Llandulas with more exhaust than I expected and Penmaenmawr with none.
    Sunny spells successfully avoided today.

And that's the first half of 2019 done - where did it go ?

6201 glides gracefully into Crewe with the 'Rolex Express' of 30 June 2019, to collect her passengers.
