Right on cue and as the forecasted weather breaks 'Leander' puts on a fine display as it works 'The Hadrian' away from Helwith Bridge, Steve Chipperfield driving
and Alastair Meanley on the shovel

RTT shows that stop (water?) was booked for Langwathby rather than Appleby for this tour.

While the link is still active:
    http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/U52299/2019/07/27/advanced

It looks like it did go through Appleby without stopping and stuck near enough to the booked times.

Is anyone able to confirm if a stop was made?

The stop was made as planned. Langwathby is an easier location than Appleby for the tanker to reach. The problem as I understand it is that Appleby is easy to get to, but the road system in the town makes it very difficult for the tanker to get away from there afterwards. I suspect that we may see more use of Langwathby in the future.
