    South Devon has not had a colossal amount of rain. Last Monday/Tuesday overnight was the last. It is still very dry here, temperatures in the range 22 - 24C and a breeze, which soon dries out any moisture.
    Of course the decisions are made in NW London which has little relationship in any way as South Devon.

    There used to be a Risk Index compiled by each region based on ground conditions and weather forecasts. Can't see why that wouldn't still be the case.
