When I arrived at Exeter St Davids on Saturday afternoon for the return to Waterloo with Clan Line, I was surprised to see a Pacer in GWR livery waiting to depart. When they bothered to apply this livery they presumably weren't expecting withdrawal any time soon. When are the inhabitants of Devon likely to be spared further shaking about in these?

I think it must have been 2F37 Paignton-Exmouth, though according to RTT that left a quarter of a minute before its scheduled 15:16, and my picture is time stamped 15:18 (and my camera's clock is a minute or so slow).

I can't work out whether the squiggly white lines along the sides (which I didn't notice at the time) are paint or the reflection of the platform edge on panels that are far from flat.

    Victor on the line.:)
I have to report a lot of improvement of late (praise the Lord). The Pacers were 'thin on the ground' at Leeds today, yes, there are still some rumbling around on the Harrogate and Sheffield services but there is a chink of light at the end of the tunnel.
The only 'undesirables' through Dewsbury are the re furbed 150's. I don't know where all the 3 car TP Express sets are coming from (begged, borrowed or stolen) but they are VERY welcome.:)

Sorry to say on my way to Lytham today I was on 142030. I hoped I'd seen the last of these cattle Wagons.

I am NOT buying one of those heaps of misery......................burn the lot of em . :Grumpy:

Tuesday parked in Huddersfield station were 2 new 3 car 195's alongside a 2 car 142. The 195's look like they are on crew training duties
After what we oop north have endured (and the crews) we'll welcome with open arms the 195's
At the moment round Dewsbury we've no complaints, 158's on the Leeds-Southport and 185's on just about everything else.
I'd like to give the Carlisle job another go (see what Northern have got on that) but I'm struggling walking while waiting for the surgeon to find a sharp knife, so my activities are somewhat restricted The wind yesterday damn near blew me off my newly pur-chased walking stick.:(

I have, both knees are implants but the youngest one (2014) has failed, damn thing has come loose. I think they fixed it in with wallpaper paste. They're going to do it again and I've suggested they get the MIG welder to fix it in.

It's this water soluble super glue ...... Sorry, but the greasing points for joints only come on private treatment plans.
I can sympathise, with a knee which could do with a dollop of graphite grease!

    Cheers, Neil
